So Christmas is coming up and my girlfriend asks me if I would want a new keyless entry remote since mine broke and fell off like a year ago. Well im thinkin it would be nice to have again so im like yeah that'd be cool. Well today she called me and told me the nissan place wanted $133.04 for it, so it looks like we're turning to ebay for that purchase. My question is though, is a new remote really that much, or is this one of those rips dealers are notorious for?

also, i think i remember reading that theres no way to make a 5th gen remote work on my 96. is that true?

Everywhere I searched, the dealer wanted over $100 bucks. Ridiculous. Definitely eBay it or get it from another org member like I did.

Either way will probably be used but for well under $100 bucks, who cares.

Try going to a small used car dealer and asking them if they can help you out. They get good discounts and dont pay tax. It can be as much as $70 savings. Maybe give the guy a 20. That way you get a new one with cheaper price..

 

i got mine for 18 bucks shipped from an org member.

 

I got mine from ebay for $34 shipped programming took 5 mins.
