Tomorrow is the big day...
Tomorrow is when I'll be able to pick up my brand new Max SE!! I'm so hyped!
I just want to get some input as to what I should be looking for, quality check wise...Check for dents, scratches, missing steering wheel, etc, etc...
Thanks in advance for any input...

- Stage 1 Wax: soaks the wax onto your new paint
- Stage 2 Wax: Protect the paint
- Stage 3 Wax: Give it a nice finishing layer to the prevous wax and give a very nice finish.
This reason to do this is to protect the not so good Nissan paint. If you were to use the 3 Stage wax, make sure you hand wax it. When waxxing, make sure the paintis free of dirt.
Whenever you wash your car, use the detergent that will not strip wax.
I recommend using Mother.
Check Everything, and then...
Check for that friggin' fuel line cover in the driver's side rear wheel well (you guys didn't think I'd pass up the opportunity to climb back up on my soap-box about this, did you?
)
Check the tire pressure. Bring a bass-heavy CD and check the speakers (don't get obnoxious about it but do your due dilligence). Finally, make 'em take the free dealer advertising off your precious baby.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the replies
Here my list so far...
-- Check for cosmetic defects
-- Check the missing cover for the fuel line
-- Tire pressure
-- Sound
And then once I drive off the lot:
-- Wax, wax, and more wax
What about fluid changes? Oil/xmsn fluid change after xxx miles? Recommendations?
I've read that I should keep it under 4K RPM until 2000 miles? Is that really needed?
Thanks...

You should change your oil filter, USE 20W50 Synthetic engine oil, 100% synthetic transmission oil, 100% synthetic differential oil. Swap to K&N and reset your ECU! Performance gurarantee!!!

For now, using stage waxes is the only thing to keep your car better than ours!

Although I'm not the first one to congratulate you, dang you Keving, one more couldn't hurt
Don't worry about any of this stuff. Some of us sort of over-do on some problems with our Maxima's. Buy the car if you love it, and enjoy it. When and if you have any problems with your car after your break-in period, you can always post questions in the thread and we all will be glad to help you. Your dealer will also be happy to address your questions or concerns on your Maxima. Read your owners manual thoroughly. You'd be suprised at how much information and warnings you should avoid on the car. It will tell you your cars' specific needs and services throughout its lifespan.
Btw, I must have missed this but did you mention what kind of tranmission it is?
Re: Re: Reset ECU?
Thanks for all the warm congrats from all of you!! I truly appreciate all the encouraging ti-bits that all of you provide.
The xmsn is gona be a 5 spd...it's my first!
Time to get well rested. it will be a long day tomorrow (full day of work, drive 160 miles back to Chicago, 15 miles to dealer, pick up car, drive all over town...)
Wish me luck!
