Yesterday I sanded my rear bumper with 3M's 1500 grit sandpaper, then used 3M rubbing coumpound and then wax it. It's almost scary because the paint will look messed up after sanding. I can't express how good the thing looks. I highly recommend this to people who have had there rear bumpers scraped up.

Hey Deezo

Thanks man
I want to try this out I'm gonna go buy the sand paper and compound I have so many scratches front and rear bumper... I was just afriad that once you sand it, it takes off the paint but as you said I guess that isnt a problem.

That's weird because I definitely posted before maxse91. Guess it was just a glitch.

I got the 3M rubbing compound at Walmart and the sand paper at Kmart. You should be able to get both at Walmart. If you can't find it there, go to an auto supply store to see if they have it.

This site should help you find a shop to purchase some 3M stuff:

Wet Sanding: What you have to do first is make sure you clean the spot you are sanding. Use a spray bottle with 75% water and 25% alcohol. When the spot is clean, wet the hell out of the spot you are going to sand. Sand with 1500 grit sandpaper in a circular motion until you get the desired smoothness. Spray clean once again and dry it off. The paint will look messed up, don't get scared. Use the 3M rubbing compound on the spot sanded in the same circular motion until the compound has made the sanding marks disappear. After that, wax the area. You won't be sorry. If you had the time and patients, you could remove that orange peel look from your whole ride by doing this.
