i was browsing thru ebay and came across these tail lights, they look great on the car i was sick of my stock tails so i ordered the carbon fiber altezzas but now i dont know if i should try and sell the altezzas wen they come in or keep them , what u guys think would look better on my car , the altezzas or these red tails???

 

those arent new. u can paint them yourself.

 

I did it myself, I got the paint from Michael's craft store. Translucent red paint and mine look every bit as good. Seriously, it's very easy and I like mine better than any I've seen. Other people have taken the orange out and replaced it or whatever. The paint process took about an hour, cleaned the lenses, masked everything off and painted them. I used two or three coats and haven't had to touch them for months. They still look like they did the day I painted them

 

Those look stock, bad job redding out IMO. I believe in the FAQ's or Howto's it tells you how to red out your tails.

thats not my auction , i liked them, which website can u go to , to get transparent paint? , do u think these look betta on a a black max than carbon fiber altezzas? thats what my question asked on first post , how do u paint them from outside , inside?

 

CF gen. 2 altezza's look nice on a black maxima. I'm not a fan of the red out tail lights. Looks funky

 

I am partial to the reds. I don't want to look like a 16 year old or anything that looks aftermarket. Red paint is easy to find. Craft store or Michaels. Make sure it's the translucent paint, not sure of the exact color. Testers makes it and has a website you can order it from. For $40 the guy is hoping to find someone who doesn't know any better. Capitalism, guess he has the right but I think it's a little steep for the job. The lights themselves might be worth it, I'm sure the salvage yards get at least that much for a pair of stock lights. If your lights are intact I would just get the paint and do it yourself.

 

This is nothing new and I stated that in the thread of which you posted in the FS forum.

 

since i already ordered the altezzas i may keep them on instead unless someone wants to buy them off of me for what i paid for them , 80 shipped for the carbon fiber altezzas, let me know if anyone is interested if not i will just keep them n put them on my car
