Injen Vs. Berk Intake
Injen Vs. Berk Intake
I have a 00 Maxima, automatic, I am in the market for an intake, was wondering which one would do better for my car. I heard the Berk Intake does more for high end and actually lose power for the low end, or at least nothing for low end. I drive an automatic and don't step on the gas too hard, so I hardly get to high RPMs on it. But it seems a lot of people like the Berk Intake, but I think, not sure though, that an CAI does better for low end power than a WAI so was thinking about getting the injen. Wondering if anyone can give me advice on this. Just trying to maybe get a few HPs not much, and also mebbe get better MPG outta the car, plus that nice sound an aftermarket intake has. But all opinions welcomed, just wanted to get some people's thoughts, thanks.
oh my. It's a huge debate around here as to whether or not the Injen is actually a cai, because the filter still brings in hot air from inside the engine bay. There is a Group Deal going on in the GD forum on Place Racing cai, which re-locates the filter to the driver side fender well.
The thing with the PR one is that I really don't feel like cuttin a hole in the car. I know its not reallie the engine and its not reallie important that the hole is cut. I just don't like making cuts or holes on things I reallie like LoL. Its a personal thing I guess, but I think some people can relate. Just wondering about the automatic tranny owners here and what they have set up and how they like it as well.

As for a comparison, I've never done it nor have I owned an Injen, so I'm not gonna comment....

well i personally have the injen cai, i love it, it sounds great, when your driving around normally under 3k you dont hear anythign as soon as you slam on it you hear a nice growl, very nice as far as gas goes it stayes the same, i felt no low end or top end power loss, i love it, and yes there is a debate about it not being a TRUE cold air intake, but i think it is b/c well \ its right next to the openign which are on the bottom of the bumper between the foglites, they let air in right onto the filter, YES it is right next to all that hot engine stuff but the injen shines on the highway since all the cold air is forced into the vents and feeds the intake, when normal city driving it sucks since theres not much air comign into the vents, you must position the intake properly, secondly you can always take away the tube on the intake which brings the filter to the bottom and jsut have the short tube which will make it like all the other intakes.
