Just replaced my starter today. Everything went well until I went to start the car to test it out. It cranks very well, but once it starts the rpms just die down and the car shuts off. Then I tried to give it a little gas while starting it and the problem no longer exists. Has anyone eever heard of this???

i dont think its the starter.. need more details .. sounds like a vacum problem .. did you put the intake tract back together properly?
