you need to change all of them, because of the bad design by nissan. All coil will go bad. And sometimes the code doesn't show up for other coils.

Follow this HowTo:

http://www.nissanx.net/tanman/

Just take off all the coils and replace them instead. Leave the plugs there.

I'm not trying to jump in here if you have the problem solved, but I found that by reading the plugs I was able to isolate the bad ignition coil. I replaced that one coil about 10K miles ago and have not had any bucking since then! In my case it was cylinder #6, the hardest one to reach. What I saw on the plug was more erosion of the electrode compared to the other plugs! Oh yeah, I did replace the plugs at the same time as the coil. So far the other coils are holding up fine!

The cylinders are counted from the driver's side front as one, 2 is middle front, 4 is passenger rear, 6 is driver rear. Hope that helps!

You might be fine for a while, but you performance is still no as with revised coils. New coils have silver dot on them. They produce more spark. My coils we failing slowly, one day the worked, one day car started to misfire. After changing all of them I noticed a boost in performance.

As far as where to get new coils, call DAVEB. He sells them for $50 a piece.

Um some of the orgers may be giving your false info. My cylinder #2 coil went out like yours and I replaced it. It's on the radiator side of the engine (under the nissan cover) and furthest towards the passenger side of the car. It is NOT the middle coil. If you're standing at the front of the car looking at the engine the cylinders should be like this:

1 3 5
-----------
2 4 6

So I replaced my coil on cyl 2 and the shaking immedialtly went away and the cel turned off in the next few days.
If you replaced the middle coil you probably changed out cyl 4, which is why you still have the problem
