Got M-Bumper...Is it easy to install or should I take it to a shop
Hey all. I just got the M-bumper from redlinemax.com. I was taking it to a body shop to get it painted and my roommate suggested that I get them to install it also. =/ Should I do that or save myself some money and do it myself?
Thanks - The Chad

the M bumper fits for 95-96 maximas...i read that somewhere...but they have to be modified to fit 97-99...in your case, it shouldn't be that difficult if you know what you are doing but i would recommend a body shop putting it on.

it will fit 97-99 fine, but you will need to have a 95-96 grill and the m-fenders to fit like a glove.
I've heard there are fitment issues no matter what year you have, done the have to cut into the side fender to get it to fit.
I would imaging that it either wouldnt fit all maxs or would because first thing you would do when your going to put the M Bumper on it take off the stock bumper, if 95 oe 97 bumpers fit easy on any year then, there is no way the M could fit the 95 better than the 97s.

hmm...well according to this pic it takes a 97-99 grill.
I really didn't notice the issue with the little wavy things on the side. They are going to have to over lap the stock fender. Maybe your right maybe the m fenders fit with the m bumper. Makes sense.

Good luck trying to fit that thing perfectly on the max. I remember when Jason (big sadler) bought and tried to install it. After a year, he spent something like a grand trying to fit it just right.
Oh yeah and BTW take it to a shop.
