Problem today, need help

I went to change my plugs today, and the problem is on the front bank my left and right but not middle plugs were completely coverd in oil. And in the rear it's only one. So I think that means I need a new valve cover gasket on each side right? I Know I can do the front one. But how big of a problem will it be if I don't do the back one for a while. I'll just wait till I can get a 00 vi to put on at the same time. What do you guys suggest?

tilleys99 says that you need to replace the valve cover o-rings...... he also said that if you dont replace the back one, you may have hesitation, but maybe not even that. if you dont have hesitation now, then more than likely you wont if you are going to replace the front bank (at least that seems logical to me) if you dont do the back one, its nothing serious, since you said you will replace it once you get the 00VI..... someone correct me if im wrong, just tryin to help

AKA= Valve Seals. Also a PITA to change. Since the cams have to be removed to get to them.

Guess again buddy. The seals Emma was referring to are the ones seated in the valve cover. They can be slightly annoying to get out of the valve cover but everything beyond that is gravy.

Nope. A bunch of 12/10?mm bolts and your done. The main gasket is reusable. The only thing you need is some high temp RTV sealant to go in the OEM position. This will run you $5 at a local auto parts store. The bolts should be retorqued to ~5Ibs/ft (Its a very thick and forgiving gasket).
