I need help fixing my rear-defoggers.

Hey, earlier today, I was hooking up a cd changer, and decided to check out the antenna thing located in the rear-right pillar, so I popped off the interior panel at that pillar and suddenly, little specks of glass was falling. Apparently the rear windshield was replaced for some reason.

The actual problem is that, the person that put the new windshield did not reattach the rear-defoggers to the glass, instead they just left it hanging inside the pillar. I noticed before that the rear defoggers never worked, but figured it was a fuse or something electrical.

How would I go about fixing this problem?

I didn't really take the time to even concentrate on the rear-defoggers, since I was tied up with setting up the cd changer. Normally, all that is required is to plug the thing into something? The thingy thats hanging (that should be attached the window), is like a 1/3 the height of a pinky, rectangular shaped, and is attached to a wire. It looks like it should be attached to the window.

So it just plugs in, or am I supposed to glue it onto the window?

There should be a pig tail lead coming off the rear window that the plug you found plugs into. There are two conntections, positive and negative. Make sure TWO plugs or a TWO wire lead is plugged into your rear window.

If its not stuck to the window its a pain in the a** I tried in my mustang and it came out
like s***. If you have a multimeter you can test for voltage, then fix the breaks, but if you want the job done right have a new one installed. Its a hard, delicate job with little working space for the 1st timer in this case.
