i have 00 maxima gle and its spitting out a PO430 code bank 2.can anyone tell me what this code means?

 

Well, technically it is:Catalyst system efficiency below threshold on Bank 2. Honestly you should change out your 02 sensors and clear the code, see if it comes up again - the dealer is going to give you a MASSIVE list as to what it COULD be...

i got the same problem before,i think probably is the bad cat..cus the sensor sen the cat is not doing it's job... i bought an oxygen simulator $30 dollars to slove the problem and just guts the cat.

total 4 oxygen sensors if u have a california spec!! ur P0430 is the bank 2 pre-cat and the oxygen sensor got a red wire cover.

 

P0430 = replacement of pre cat front bank if P0420 reprogram done.

Yes, this is covered by your 8/80 emissions warranty if you have a cali-spec. Check the TSB's and you will find out more.
