The Stillen Stainless Steel Catback is the loudest.. next up is the Greddy

or i hear if you buy an American Made Catback they are louder than the Stillen and Greddy

like flowmasters or something like that..

then get the stillen or one of the american made mufflers..

or you could just punch a hole in your existing muffler.. that would make it loud

i have a dynomax muffler with the resonator removed but its not really loud at all. i need to do the piping soon, hopefully that'll louden things up a bit.

I have the stillen Y and b-pipe with an apexi N1 muffler. That set up is one of the loudest I think.

Tsudo is nice and loud with a b-pipe, I love it, my friend was riding with me the other day and said that it sounds like an indy car, I had my girlfriend drive it last night while I was in her car, and it does sound really good. The b-pipe really helped, but I hate to sound like an a$$ but the Stillen Muffler is one of the most quiet mufflers I have ever heard, even with my b-pipe it was quiet, I sold it to Maxedout97SE and he likes it cause it is quiet but he doesn't have the b-pipe and I really can't hear the muffler at all on his car.

Hey Dru, which dynomax muffler did you get? I'm gonna put on a domestic made muffler(I love loud), and was really looking into getting the flowtech terminator...had great success with them on american cars. But I also liked the bullet race mufflers that dynomax carries- cheaper too. Is your dynomax nice and loud....but more importantly two questions: 1)how's it feel? Did you get a kick from the increased flow...and 2)which pipe diameter size did you go with? 2.5" or 3". Anyone know which one is more optimum? I don't know what the stock pipe diameter size is on our Maxes. Someone tell me!!!

i have the turbo muffler on stock piping and i removed the resonator also. its not as loud as i want it to be but im going to redo the piping with 2.5' (maybe 3')very soon. i hope that will make it louder and add a little bit more performance. i couldnt really feel anything with just the muffler and removed resonator, i'm not sure which size pipe to go with either but i am assuming 2.5'. i was told to go with the 2.5' y-pipe since 3' is too big, so i am assuming that i will go with 2.5' for the catback too. any feedback would halp. thanks

the shop i went to just cut out the resonator and welded a straight pipe on. it sounds nothing like a leak. it just gives ur exhaust a little louder resonance, nothing major, but definately noticable.

I have a Borla muffler (just to fill you in on those). When I first purchased it, I wasn't very happy with the noise output even with the resonator removed like DRU had done. The dealer had told me that it would be very loud and might even be annoying during highway driving. To be honest I could barely notice a difference except for in high rpm's it had a slight rumble but wasn't much at all. But when I bought the y-pipe I noticed a huge difference. Something to do with freeing up the airflow I think. It has a nice deep tone although it is not as loud as some hondas I've heard, it makes a much lower grrrrr and sounds much more agressive imo. In the future I plan to get a cat-back exhaust simply for the small gain in hp.....(this is the third time Ive had to write this everytime I go to spell check it goes "Illegal Function" on me and shuts down so I'll live with the misspellings(?). Darn computers.
