i have been considering ordering the clear side marker lenses and wanted to know if anybody has experience with the polarg hyper white bulbs. i know that they are m4 bulbs that i need, but wasn't sure if the polarg hyper whites run the same wattage as the stock ones. i was just more concerned about them blowing out and i don't feel like going through the trouble of constantly having to replace the bulb(s) every few months. does anybody have an opinion on these bulbs? how is the brightness and color? pics would be helpful too. thanks

 

Im running polargs all around. They are great, they use the same wattage, very bright, and they dont blow out every couple of weeks, sorry no pics.

I know you're looking for Polargs... but as an alternative... some people have 194 LED bulbs from autolumination.com... they're cheap and they last long... just a thought...

 

i have some bulbs from advanced auto and they have lasted a year now... very white and brite!!!

well some people love to yell "hey look at me!!! i have illegal lights that REALLY stand out at night. please pull me over and give me a ticket for the bulbs and while you are at it.....every other illegal thing i have done to my car"

clear corners with with bulbs that shine the proper color....the improved look of having clear corners without drawing attention to the fact that they are clear. if you have something illegal, why would you want to draw attention to it??? i think i'll get a huge spotlight that shines on my straight pipe.

o yeah...and they look extremely rice since every "modded" civic has white lights for everything

I didn't think cops care much but sure enough, I got pulled over for my clears and super white bulbs.

He told me super whites were illegal so I've put amber bulbs in the front and red bulbs in the back.

i just got stopped for speeding yesterday, and i had only my fogs (and of course my sidemarkers and clearance lights on) and i have clear corners w/ hyper whites and the cop either didnt notice, or didnt care...i also heard somewhere that it was illegal to drive with just your fogs on, and thats what i was doing and he saw me from the front, so obviously, here in tx, theyre pretty lenient on mods and stuff

 

I live in NJ and where I live they are quite leniet. Granted, I don't drive around like an a$$h0!e, so that may have something to do with it...

 

have never had a problem with the police and my clears with white lights... and i am around them all the time. not even a second look.

if a cop pull you over and tells you it is for your sidemarkers... they are looking for something else, it is just an excuse. and if you dont have white lights, they will say they pulled you over for something else.

well if i have green lights in my coners that are bright, and i've been pulled over once with them and the cop said nothing, also i have green lights as my blinker lights all the way around as well. haven't gotten into trouble for them. i gues OK cops are ok with them.

 

I've got Polargs in my parking lights, but not in my corners yet. You can see them in my sig. My headlights aren't on, but the Polargs look pretty dang close to HID.
