Auxiliary Fan Motor Problem - Not Sure

I have a 2001 Max SE 20th Anniversary edition and lately I started noticing that when I turn the engine off I hear the stuttering noise.

At first I thought my car was dying on me but I pinpointed the problem to one of the cooling system fans. This morning it got worse - it vibrates and stuttering noise won't stop.

Does anyone know if that's a problem with an auxiliary fan motor or maybe propeller itself has shifted? How much it will approximately cost to change the motor or is it worth trying and checking myself?

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

fan noise

i have a 00 max and when i had my A/C on it made a loud crackling sound, i thought it was the blade but it was the motor. The motor is around $100 or $150 and i changed it myself in about an hour and i'm not good with tools. haha

hope that helps

Thanks! That helps... Until I get the part, you think it would be safe to just unplug it and let the right one do it's work or not use the ventilation at all? It's kinda chilly up here...
