Fog Light Rewire -- what wire to use?

Ok, I deleted my other thread to make a more focused question, and hopefully get a focused answer. I'm following this website http://maxima.bryanb.com/fog/fogrewire.html to do this, but it doesn't say what kind of wire to use.

What kind of wire should I use to do this (for the 3 feet or so that is needed), and where should I get it? Is it another Radio Shack item, like the wire taps?

I haven't opened the relay box up yet, so I don't know how thick these wires are. So what you're saying is that as long as the wire is thicker than that of the original, there shouldn't be a problem? Also, is there any specific wire to use, or is it just general automotive wiring, or something along those lines?

yea get it thicker, the oem wires are very thin I would go with a 18 gauge or so. and yes I used simple automotive wire...
