2k2 HID Bulb Question

I just put in my Philips 5000K bulbs and the light seems to be bluer (than stock) when they are turned on, but later they tend to look more like halogens. I'm happy with the light output, but I was expecting a little more blue. The stock bulbs looked more like HIDs than these do after they've warmed up. How much would philips 6000k d2r bulbs cost and would they give more of a lasting blue/purple color?

Is it possible to just replace the bulb? If I changed my bulbs to 8000K would they properly work with the stock setup?

Not sure if they're phillips bulbs but umnitza is having a sale on 6000k d2r bulbs $150 per pair. Check out the group deal thread.

Do you have HID's on your '01? If so they just swap out and work just like the stock bulbs. If no then don't use them. You will blind oncoming drivers.
