Possible Tranny leak/ Redline MT-90 Fluid

Over the past few days I noticed a wet spot underneith the car where I park. So today I jacked the car up on the driver side to take a look, and all of a sudden, fluid starts dripping at a rapid rate... SO I look where its coming from, and it looks like its coming from the passenger side axle seal, where the axle goes into the tranny.

This is what confuses me.

When I did the swap, I used Redline MT-90 tranny fluid, but forgot what color it was..... The fluid that was leaking was clear/yellowish.

This is the same exact color as DOT3 brake fluid, of which I spilled some on my tranny when I was installing an SS clutch line.. << This was about 2 weeks ago.

I am stumped. Does anyone know for sure what color the MT-90 fluid is? I am hoping it's just the brake fluid I spilled. If it is the bearings, I guess it's time for a rebuild.

BTW: the tranny has around 68k miles on it. From a 97 SE. Does this seem about right for the diffy bearings to fail?

I'm gonna guess red. Just grab the axle and try to move it up/down. If it moves alot and if the fluid starts pouring out, your tranny bearings are shatola

if your axle didnt move, it spossible that the seal went bad, its half hour at most to replace and problaby cost you $60 at a trusted mechanic.

I'm pretty damn sure that MT90 is NOT red, but rather a yellow/amber color. I have some at home, so I need to check, but I really can't recall it being red. I know that the stuff I replaced it with (and also the stuff in my 97) both were yellowish/amber, and I don't recall redline being red :Q

This sucks. I am beginning to think that the bearings are definantly shot. The past 6k miles I certainly haven't been taking it easy on the car.

But thinking positive, I am probly going to wait until I do the 3.5 swap to do the tranny. That way I can do it all at once while everything is out.

It can still drive fine and not be all the way in.

Oh pass side. Sorry. Hmmm you might have damaged the seal while putting in the axle. But if it doesn't move up/down then I have to guess the seal (however new it is)
