Its not hard at all. its a little plastic sensor that is under your crankshaft pulley. 2 10mm bolts, pull off the harness, and its out.

Make sure you specify the REF sensor when you go buy it

Then you dont need the car. Just walk everywhere and burn the fat.

Its a blessing. Dont fix it

Im not sure.. I had the CEL and I bought the part, brand new, never used in box, and my light went away...

If you do decide that you need it, I can sell it to you..

Let me know what you find out.

Well your fat *** should get a lift/floor jack.

The sensor you are looking for is on the oil pan, below your big pulley. To get to it lift the car up, remove the passenger front wheel, remove the plastic engine splash cover by the oil pan, and there it is. Take it out and clean it.

It is highly unrecommended that you use your factory lift in the trunk, but if you really need to be sure to put the parking brake on and try not to kill yourself. The best thing to do is get a 3ton floor jack and jack stands.

I believe you should clean it with electronic parts cleaner (Found at any parts store).

It's not really under the car. It's off on the side. The biggest problem is that your wheel will be in the way, so it is best to get the wheel off and the car lifted.

you don't need to jack up the car at all. turn your wheel all the way to the right. remove plastic wheel well cover. locate sensor above oil pan below flywheel. make sure wiring is connected tight. if so, remove and clean sensor. if car still wont start, then replace it.

Look up. You guys need to read and not complain when someone doesn't reply to your post in 5 mins.

It is under the CRANKSHAFT PULLEY. A little Plastic Sensor that sorta looks like a T.

Now go out and change it. You dont need to take the wheel off. You might need to jack up the car or park it up on a curb or something.

That is the POS sensor. not the REF. The REF is on the passenger side. The POS sensor is on the other side of the engine.

Camshaft sensor is not the same as crankshaft sensor. These are 2 different sensors. The camshaft is accessible from the top, the crank from the bottom.

I was referring to the passenger side, where the oil pan is, the flywheel is, and where the sensor is. The other sensor is on the transmission bell housing and can be reached by going directly underneath the front of the car. They can both be accessed and removed easily without jacking up the car or taking anything off other than the splash guards. I know this because I have checked both of them this way.

2 Thoughts...

1. The 0407 corresponds to the CRANK Position Sensor - REF. Not the CAM shaft.

2. Buy a Haynes Manual for starters. That way you won't get flamed as much.
