do this......jack your car up on the driver side. Take your front driver wheel off. Take the black plastic fender lining out and there will be a groment there which lets the hood latch cable go in the car. remove the gromnt push in your cable and there ya go.

you have to remove a rubber plug. The big red wire is 4 gauge monster cable. I was able to fit other wires through there too.

I have my pos battery wire going throught the same hole. I comes out in the perfect spot, right above the gas pedal. Nothing in the way at all.

You don't really need to jack the car up. Nor do you need to remove the entire piece of plastic lining. Just take out enough screws so that it flaps down and you can see the grommet.

No, but if whatever wire your running through there is secure I would not worry about it rubbing through.

I have used that loaction to run wires many times. The first few times I did what you said, just removed a couple screws and bent back the plastic. It was always a pita to work like that and took me forever.

Now I jack up the car take off the tire, so much easier and faster that way
