Sneek a peek at my weekend project.
Sneek a peek at my weekend project. **UPDATED**
Here is whats coming up for this weekend.
Sorry for the crap pictures, I will use a better camera during the install and update with new pix. Check out page 3 of my cardomain. I also added page 2. Its the aftermath of a fender bender I had not too long ago.
Edit
New and better pics are up!

Nice. I am actually expecting my pads/rotors any minute now. I went with the slotted/dimpled Bremobos and Axxis Ultimates. This is going to be my first time doing brakes, so let's see what happens.

Good luck with the Axxis Ultimates. Thats what I had on my car before and they ate my rotors. Just make sure to keep an eye on the rotor wear and pad life.

I am not sure if I can or not. One of the guys I work out with at the gym works at Meineke (sp?) and claims they can do it. Will have to find out one of these days. Most other people I have talked to say that it cannot be done. As for the stopping power, its pretty good. The pads dont bite as much as the Axxis Ultimates, but then again I dont want to chew up my rotors either.

Yes, I will consider them. I just have other things lined up for mods that I need to pay for and get done 1st. I still have to get my I30 Trunk Lip painted, Motostrom UPD needs to be bought, new tires, and get a new rear bumper cover. Will I be able to keep my same pads and rotors with the caliper swap? I honestly havent done much research on that yet.
Dumb question, but what causes that rusty stuff to go all over your brakes? I don't think its brake dust. I got it all over my brakes after i installed new rotors and pads.
Its hard to take off. How can you prevent it?

Looks good with all those shiny new parts! BTW, your rotors are backwards, slots should face forward and up. Don't waste your time on the 300ZX calipers, not a worthwhile thing to do on stock size rotors.

The way the slots go depends on the the way the vanes are inside the rotor.
If the vanes are straight out, no angle, then it doesnt matter which way the slots go.

Im not sure which Dubbya has, he may need to look into that.

The 1st set of rotors I had came with a sheet that expained the set up like this:
My current config is best for light braking applications. The rotors will cause less bite on the pads
The opposite config is best for hard braking applications. The rotors will have a greater bite on the pads.
I feel that I do not need the greater bite at the cost of my pads, so I went with the 1st. Plus I think they look weird with the slots going in the other direction.

The veins are straight, so the rotors are interchangeable from side to side.
