The chrome bulbs are popular with the BMW crowd. You can do it yourself though believe it or not the cheap way by spray painting the bulb silver. They sell them on ebay as well.

They have been around for quite a few years. Hope this helps...or at least gives you an idea. You can paint them yourself though. All of these bulbs are coated.

I wouldnt bother...the price of the bulb was negligable...the install was the issue, ther is no room behind these bulbs to work with. Jayz..its all in the details man..

I was worried they werent dual filament, but they are. They blink just like the OEM's do, dim to bright...not on and off. They look fantastic in person, especially with the HID on, I think the colors compliment eachother now because the new ones arent that bright...so the housing hes no orange glow around the HID. The light seems to illuminate the blinker cover and thats it. Looks nice.

Nick...I was one of those people asking a million questions..lol
But this is definately not fun to do, I didnt think i'd be able to
get the passenger side in after doing the drivers because it was so
tight in there, and the other side looked worse..but it can be done.
and the fogs are cake after you've done the signals..there is a ton of room behind them

lol damn... my appologies for the past. lol
but yeah, you just need to unbolt the windshield wiper fluid reservoir??? something like that... it's been too long... then you need someone with puny hands to get down in there and twist the signal bulbs out but DON'T LET GO!!! YOU'LL REGRET IT!! lol.
after that, it's a piece of cake
took me about one day to ponder
and the next day about 30 minutes. it took longer to do this than to put my intake on, because my 00 maxima was such a piece of cake to install the corner lights in comparison to the 04

Yeah...I was able to cram my hand in there...Its the coolant reservoir that is taken out, and it has a long hose on it and can be easilly set aside with the hose on. No problems there...it was the copper bracket that the thing was mounted to near the windshiled washer pipe that would not come off the frame of the car, the bolt wouldnt budge at all so i bended it back without damaging it.

yeah that's what the procedure was. lol

pal379 - the lights themselves do NOT blink orange. but you will still have the crappy stock orange lense on the housing. looking from the side, it will always blink orange but from the front it's PLATINUM!!! yeeyaaa lol. especially if you run the DRL's??? before sunset. i used to get a few stares.

Pal...mine blink a very attractive reddish orange color...They are amber under the chrome, when you hold the bulb up to a light it is amber.
