whats up fellas. just the other day i noticed a rattleing/buzzing noise coming from the catayltic converter area. i have an all new setup on w/ warpspeed y and cat and custom catback. i think it has somthing to do with the cat. i notice the noise from 1100 rpms as soon as i put the car into gear and give it gas untill about 2,000rpms. after this it is completely silent. im thinkin it could also be the clutch cuz mines having lots of problems. anyway my exhaust never rattled and clanked around so i dont think its that..

Its attack of the y pipe beez. I've heard if its not the superflo y then possible to get beez. Try wrapping flex section with exhaust wrap, also check all your connections.

 

maybe its a heat shield or something. i had the same problem when one of the bolts for the mounts for the cat where loose and hitting the body of my car and causing a rattle...dont know what maxgtr is talking about since i have the ws y-pipe and dont have any bees in can sound

 

If the cat is a carsound from warpspeed then your cat is dead so to speak. The inside honey comb probably came loose. Yeah, WSP doesn't replace cat converters either.

 

yes that was my idea from day one. if i bring it to mieneke where i got it installed can they take out the mesh screen u think? would it still pass emision

 

I am 95% sure it is simply metal touching metal. It happened to me where the cat meets the Y. the new cat was touching the stock hangar. All you need to do is bend the stock hangar a little.
