My grille has been christianed

well, after reading about all you guys having chips etc in your grilles for so long, I decided to go out and get me some. Noticed a couple before the weekend and when the lovely NE rain came through, they filled with water and it looks like I have big air bubbles in the clear now on the center tooth....I am soooo not happy. Will warranty cover this or no due to the chips? It looks sooooo bad. Where's AT with that new grille?!?!?!

That is too bad, mine has the same problem. I can not wait untill I find an nice billet for mine. As for the warranty I would imagine that it would if the clear is messed up, I am taking mine in on thursday to see if they will fix it.

Yes the factory warranty covers it. I had mine changed at the stealership, a couple of months ago. (Sorry if I stepped on any toes, I am new please forgive me.)

welcome Dspeed.

btw, how does one's grille become a Christian?
dealers cover peeling grilles under bumper warranty. but if they say it's due to rock chipping, you're sol if they don't want to help you. great reason for a mod.

Fyi

This is covered under the 12k cosmetic warranty. Not the 36k. I found out the hard way and was pissed.

Get a Street Scene grill and powdercoat it. No chips here.

My grill is showing the same thing...bubbling under the clear coat around the emblem in the center. Funny thing is, I don't even use it most of the year. I have the Trendz on for the spring, summer and fall. Swap that out for the OEM for the harsh winter months.

Under the 12k you are covered for any imperfections in the interior and the exterior paint unless you have a rust problem underneath the vehicle.

Things covered that have been mentioned on this board.

Misaligned parts of the dash, seats, consoles, window/doorlock controls and trim on interior.

Imprefections in the paint, door trims, Skyview/Moon Roof, window molding on exterior.

I know there is more, but I'm having a brain fart at the moment.

I just purchaed a new billet grille for my 05 maxima....i installed it and today I noticed a strange woooooooo sound only when I am at 40-50 mph. I also installed a KN filter at the same time so I don't know which one is the culprit (i will eventually troubleshoot by putting the old air filter back to see what is the cause). Has anybody heard of this sound before?

to make it easier on you id replace the grille, cuz its a much easier install. Unlessssssssss you just changed the filter. If you just changed the filter and that woooooooooo you are talking about is just your intake sucking more into the engine.

Somebody backed into my Grill today. The two center slots on the bumber cover that hold the grill in place broke causing the grill to be slightly loose on the bottom. Does anybody know of an aftermarket clip or bracket that i can use to fasten the grill to the bumber without any type of glue?

i reinstalled the old filter and the noise is still there. So it is my billet grille. I put cardboard over the grille to test this theory out...it stopped. THAT SUCKS...i spent 200 dollars on this new grille and the slots just happened to create a wind sound that is very irritating (in the 40-50 mph range)...i find it very hard to believe that this is the case with grilles.....
