Problem Starting Car

Ok I've had this very weird issue with my car. I turn the key to start the car and their is a very slight delay before it starts cranking, it cranks over just fine, and it start no problem but there is a delay an intermittent delay when I completely turn the key to turn on the car. Earlier today I had to hold the key for 3-4 seconds before it started to crank. It's not making any unusual noises nor is it slow to start (in other words the starter is turning over just fine)... what do you guys think this might be. I'm afraid one day the key will turn over and the car won't turn on at all

1. You need to check your battery.
2. If its not your battery its probably your Starter.
3. If its none of those, worse case it could be your Alternator.

But I had the same thing with my car. And it was my starter. After you shut your car off listen with your window down if you hear any weird noises coming from the engine bay.

No, it is not your alternator if it starts up fine everytime. My guess would be somthing with the ignition switch or some relay.
