Painting your dash question.

hi i have a question for you guys, im pretty sure dupli-color high performance wheel paint (steel) will for on my dash (since i read it on the "how to's" section of this forum), and the primer im usuing is also dupli-color sandable grey primer. Will a different brand of clear coat work?..because i know that the dupli-color piant works best with the dupli-color primer but clear coat = no clue
thx

what about fiberglassing a dash?

to answer your question, im not sure. there is a dye you can buy that might work and look better tho. euromax has his dash dyed all white including door panels, he might be the guy to talk to.

let me explain the situation, maybe then you'll be a little more considerate...i just ordered a flip out screen from hong kong..i asked for black..but they sent me some silver color...its doesnt blend in with the car...my friend had the same thing and it got stolen because it was easy to see..sure i can tint the windows but in cali its only legal for back window tint..now i have to conpromise for someone elses mistake by painting my dash. I also cant send it back because shipping and restocking the item back in hang kong will cost me 100 bucks. who the hell would pay that for shipping

in dash i mean center console...air vents (VHT high gloss black) hazard lights, clock, defrosters, ac units, bezel underneath that with double din and single din, little trash compartment, and bezel around the shifter (Dupli-color High Performance Steel color)

Try looking for some SEM color coat. It is made specifically for plastic, carpet, vinyl. They also have primers and surface preps availble. It goes on real easy, hard to screw up, as it is much thinner than other aerosols. I painted my computer monitor titanium grey. You shoud be able to find it at the bigger auto parts stores, or try stereo shops.

Can't you just paint the frame of the screen rather than the whole dash
