I am looking for some ideas on what to do for my car I would like to do soemthing coll and ideas???

 

I have a custom trunk. Look what I put on top - a WRX spoiler!!

 

hmmm... my car's still at the shop... i think theyre in the process of shaving my trunk... where the licence plate goes... in the future im thinkin' of installing the flipin licence plate with a t.v in the other end... my boy with an 03 audi has that done and looks sick

 

I have seen suicide trunk kits that work with the Altima....and supposed to work with the Maxima. My issue would be the seal though and the modification....drilling with these kits. It is not a true suicide trunk...as that would defeat the purpose of the trunk lid itself, kinda goes up and back to the rear window.

 

I've seen those on ebay too recently... not sure if I'm feeling them, but I guess if you want to be different...

Other than that, what else is there to do with a trunk? I mean they either open that way, true suicide or what, split in half or something? see through trunks? what?

 

Ferrari makes a see through trunk but its to see the engine. I suppose one could get a plexi trunk. hahaha. I dont think so!!

 

I don't think those kits would work, even though the sellers advertise that it would, for 6th gen maximas. Our trunks are operated by gas shocks and the trunk kits on ebay are designed as hinges for trunk bars. I don't see how that kit would work for us....It could be a new kit but, I don't see how the kit can work for previous models.

 

kits won'r work. you would need to remove the pistons and create a custom kit totally redesigning how it operates.
i'm guessing you mean shaved emblems and maybe spoilers or even salad bars for a cool trunk?

 

I'm gonna put a huge plexiglass ant farm with neon lights in mine. That would rock. It's not like it's needed to luggage and stuff.

 

LOL Okiewan...thats exactly what was goin through my mind as I read the posts about shaving the plate......a flipping plate with a tv behind it.....and a suicide trunk? This stuff reminds me of some of the things they do on pimp my ride (...we mounted a bubble machine...on yo' exhaust pipe!)
While not as stupid....ive seen them put a TV under an suv in the middle of the spare tire (so you can watch tv while you work on the truck?)
And lastly...they mounted 2 Xbox's between the back seats and put a small aquarium inbetween them...
So in the world of pimp my ride, the ant farm is definately par for the course.
