Car warms up...starts to whine

Ok so I'll start my max...drive it for a bit and then I get this awful whining noise in the front end. It is pretty constant, gets higher with engine revs BUT here's the catch...when I move my steering wheel at a dead stop...that's when it's the worst.

It's so loud I have people giving me wierd looks. What the hell could this be? Power steering pump, alternator? What?

Could just be a belt...get someone to turn the wheel while you listen carefully for the source of the noise... should be easy to identify since it happens while the car is still..

It is one of your belts. Check those for cracks or other wear on them. and replace as necessary or even if you don't feel it's necessary.

Do you have steering fluid? My wifes Audi had a whinning noise, and it turns out that the fluid was low. Try replacing the fluid too.

the fluid just doesnt evaporate...if u are low on fluid u probably have a power steering leak, and check ur belts as well.

Check belt, streering fluid level. If not, might be power steering pump bearing. Good luck!
