CustomMaxima or SFXperformance billet grille?

well, by 11pm i will be placing my order on the billet grille, but i dunno which one. money is not an issue, but i have 2 options, the one from custom maxima and the one from sfxperformance. since i am also getting the lower valance, i dunno which one, cuz as most of u know, the one from custom maxima has this like string in the middle.
that's why i think the one from sfxperformance will look better with the valance, but still i like the other one better. please click on the links to view them and give me ur opinion in the poll. so, should i go with the one that looks nicer with the balance (sfxperformance), or the one i think looks cuter (customMaxima)?

thank u ppl.

I voted for the custommaxima grill because i have it on my car and i love it. Make sure you get both the top and bottom. I purchased the top first and and drove it like that for a while and it looked odd without the bottom part.

I kinda like the custommaxima model.
Maybe stick one of those nissan emblems that looks like wings on it.

How big of a gap is there with the 99 bumper and 95 grill?

They seem to both be made by trenz so quality shouldn't be an issue.

not even an inch. i thought it was gonna be huge like 3 inches, but it's very small, and since the car is black, from a distance u cant see it.

imo, the only grille that looks good is the OEM 97-99. these chrome trenz grilles or what ever are ugly as hell.

That's good to know. My car's in the shop getting the bumper swap done along with a bunch of other things. I'll make sure to tell them to keep the old grill in case I don't like the new one.

It's your car, your style, and your taste that matters. So if you really want those types of grills, go with the s5, g4nismo mentioned. And depending on if you want to bling (chrome) or not (Paint) it's up to you!

Since money doesn't seem to be an issue for you, why not get a custom grill especially if your doing custom mods on your Max. Honestly, billet is played out!!! And even when they were in, billets look better on trucks not cars. Definitely, not on 4 door sport sedans like our Maximas. Just like what many stated, 97+ SE grills owns! That's why I fitted one on my 95 Maxima (see sic pic).

PAY ATTENTION to what slimer stated!

Those are both Trenz grills. They are manufactured by the same Co., Trenz.
The pic on the SFX site is a very old pic, that grill is no longer available with the no bar in the middle style. They all have the bar in the middle now.
If you get the Trenz grill, buy it from the cheaper distributer, CM.

Sorry, but those trenz/billet whatever grilles look :P

Makes the max look even MORE like a grocery getter imho. Can we say Buick? I knew ya could.

But hey, if you like, you like it. It's a free country.

I like the sfxperformance grill better because it doesn't split in the middle. Either way, I think it's a waste of money... but that's just my opinion.

yeah, i think the body colored 97-99 looks the best. the posts from people are probably not what you wanted to hear. your first post sounded like your heart was content on buying one! well, you may want to listen to these guys. they look like you did a front end conversion with a big ol GMC or some other American truck. save the money for something else. your preference of looks can change, but fast is fast! put the money under the hood!!!

You shouldnt worry about other peoples opinions too much, its your car i would go with the grill....but a mesh one would look great up front(in my opinion that is)

Both are equally nasty. Looks like a Ford truck. I just bought the Sorona V2 grill. I think those look pretty slick. Just make sure you buy it from redline and not custom-ripoffa.

Good luck.

I'm considering the S5 grill. Waiting to see if he can paint it hyperblack or spectrafec for me as well.
