Installed E36's on Friday...The Max gets stolen on Thursday. -->

That is correct, I spent 10 flipping hours installing the E36's on Friday night until 4 am and then my car gets stolen today.

I leave it at a park and ride and take the bus to downtown Minneapolis; I have for several months now. I came back today after work and it was no where to be found. I throughly checked the lot that my car was in and not a bit of broken glass to be found.

Let me get this straight....someone breaks into my locked car without breaking any glass, bypasses the alarm (I believe that it deactivates the ignition until a key is used to unlock the door) THEN hotwired it?? Did this really happen to me?? Unreal.

I know the E36's are flashy but the rest of the car is not...it has rust in the wheel wells (thanks to the Minnesota winter weathers demanding salt and sand on the roads). I am surprised that someone would risk a felony conviction just for a car that is worth MAYBE $2k, if it is full of gas.

Anyway, here are some pics of my labor of love last weekend. I was starting to get a little tired of my car until I did this then I fell in love all over again.

Last thing, the E36's are also painted on the inside to match the car (I bought them from Seamax a few months back) and have blue angel eyes w/ eyelids. If anyone sees this pop up on eBay or Craigslist.com sometime in the next few weeks, please email me at: red4DSC.at.gmail.com

That happened to my wife, too. It was towed at a park-n-ride for the light rail train in Portland. I think she said she parked along a curb (out of the way) because all of the parking spots were taken.

Sucks about your car. None of the links work for me (forbidden)

Not likely it was towed. I called the city and a few of the impound lots in the area and didn't find anything. The cop that took my informaiton said that if it did get towed, the towing compay is required to enter the car into the "system" so that it would notify the police if it has a "stolen" status.

But I will keep looking.
