You need to have ur ECU screw re-threaded. ECUdirect.com will rethread that.
Or you can have a used ecu installed. Installation is not eazy but doable.

is there anyway that i can have autozone reset my idle back to normal? Also my engine revs really wierd between 3000-4000, is this a result of my screwed up idle?

Just wondering, how does the ecu screw affect the idle speed.

does not the ecu = the electronic control unit i.e. the computer? What screw on the ecu deals with the idle speed?

It's the screw that you use to check what codes your ECU is throwing. The same screw adjusts your idle.

If you want a temp solution while your screw gets rethreded, just adjust the gas throddle to a higher setting, that way its like your always pushing the gas a little, but this is only temp dont just leave it like that

Here is the img, instead of adjusting properly like they tell you to do adjust so it doesnt return to idle possition but a lil more open then usual.
Make sure to mark where it was before you start so that you can return it to the original possition.
Again its up to you if you want to do this i am not reponsible for any Damage.

But like i said this is a temp fix, your car will run high rmps when you drive and will accelarate more then u expect with the gas pedal not pressed, if you have an auto it will start going as soon as you drop into drive so watch out.

so your saying the screw also adjusts your idle? which idiot told you this. do you know what an iac is? i always thought that that controled your idle. and the ecu controls the iacv. hmm. if your idle is that low, you have a serious problem. and its not ecu related. check your LTFT and see what percentage it is showing. you probably have a vaccum leak and the ecu cant adjust for it. or a mechanical failure.
