CV boot replacement
CV boot replacement
well, i got a torn outer left CV boot and I'm planning on replacing it this upcoming weekend, anyone ever done this? how much down time am I looking at? what else could I do while I'm at it (to optimize time compsumption)? what special tools would I need aside from the Lift, the wrenches and the pry-bar, I was told i'd need to buy a separate breaker bar to get the wheel/caliper loose, is that true? how much would that cost?
Any help/suggestions apreciated.

See www.motorvate.ca or 4th Gen How To's post #9. When in doubt read your Haynes manual as well.
Personally, I would just replace the whole axle. It's alot easier and depending on how long your boot has been torn your axle might need replacing anyway. Autozone axle is $ 60.00 and comes with a lifetime warranty.
