Newbie in Audio, need help with amp

Front 6.5 Eclipse components
Back 6.5 Eclipse SE8363
One 10' sub in trunk

My question is what kind of amp do I use to power this stuff? Do I need an amp to power the components? Any recommendations would be helpful.

Well, it depends upon what type of deck you have, and how much power it puts out. You have a couple of routes here.

1. Get a 5 channel (memphis makes 2 of them) They're kind of pricey though.
2. Get a 4 channel and hook the components and sub up to it. And the rear speakers to the deck
3. 4 Channel, and bridge the sub, and hook the speakers up as normal

Components usually work the best when powered. Some even require a decent amount of power to run... like Memphis's M-Class 6.5" Multi sync components.

Directed Viper 1100d5 ... it is cheap and will run all that equipment very well.

75 x 4 plus a class D subwoofer channel that will do 600 watts @ 1 ohm.

There's also a non-viper version that I believe is only different in the slope of the internal crossovers.
