If you have a Multi Meter ensure you are getting voltage to the harness right as it enters the HU. Also ensure you ground is secure. Make sure if it is an aftermarket HU the ground is tied directly to the chassis.

Don't forget ... 99% of aftermarket headunits have a tube fuse in line with the power (usually yellow) wire. Make sure you check that in addition to the above suggestions.

obviously everything is not right.
get a multimeter.
then find out if it's getting power.
if it's not check where the wire gets power from and keep tracing it back through fuses etc...

Check your ground as well...

if it is getting power + a good ground and it still doesn't turn on go and get it looked at, repaired, or buy a new one....

you said you checked the fuse....which one?

your multimeter will tell all.
