ok, i go on crutchfelds site and it gives diff options. all i need to know is if its 6 1/2 or wha. the front doors and the backs.

6.5 can fit both front and rears(allthough only the from OE is 6.5 , the rear is 5.25) the rears will require an adapter plate(alot of times crutchfields mention it comes with the speakers) and the fronts might require a spacer, depending on the magnet depth.i have 6.5s front and rear of my 2k W/bose maxima.......

beautiful, you helped me out big time. did u have to space anything out for the rears to take a 6.5?

nope in the rear they clear just fine. cause of the 1/2 window down feature maximas have, ugh.... my alpine type r 6.5s came with some sort of mounting bracket i was able too shave a little and made it match up too the original 3 screw holes used by the white bose peice

when u did ur hu n speakers, did u run ur own wiring to bypass the bose, or did u buy the adaptor?

i ran all new 16ga wire through out the car to the trunk ...only cause i was adding a 4 chan amp for the highs also. so it only made sense. but if your just gonna run them off a head unit it wouldnt make much sense too do it. just use the wire harness adapter.

if you want to go cheapo you can use the stock speakers as adpater/spacers. Just punch everything out of the middle and use the trim as a mount. Lot of 5th gen guys have done this.
