break in period

im hopefully picking up my car tomrrow with 5th gen clutch put in just wanted to know how long to break it in and take it easy and stuff? like 500 miles or so?

on my exedy for my honda i did almost 1k, but then i d k, cuz after a while u just forget bought it, then again i dont drive all that harsh, dump or slip.
but it depends i gues like how much wear and tear. just baby it..

Welcome to the 5th gen clutch club. I did 500. I know my clutch is perfectly broken in.

Stronger than the 4th gen, grab better.

premature wear and slipping could occur depending on how abusive one was during the break in period.

5th gen is my next clutch when the money is all there. Everyone who has replied to a clutch related thread and commented on their 5th gen clutch, they all loved it.

I love it as well! I think whether its a good idea or not is subjective to each individual goals. If you are going to boost or juice later, then its not a good idea. If you are going to just do bolt-on go-fast mods, then the 5th clutch gen is good. The way I see it, its a good medium between stock 4th gen and stage1 clutch.
