I was wondering what wattage bulbs people are using in there Maximas. I believe stock is 55W. Can I put an 85W without worrying about melting the lens. It's glass right? I don't see why not but I wanted to make sure. Anybody have bulbs in that are higher than 85W?

But in most cases they heat up the lans to the point where rainwater's flash cooling effect causes the glass to crack.

I recommend that you stick with the 55W bulbs. But, it's YOUR gamble.

Yup. I read that someone here (a few ppl) had that problem, but I think they were running 100W, not sure. You can try a search for it. (Search is pretty buggy tho)

I'd stay away from any bulbs greater than 55W. I use to run 110W APCs in my fogs, and they burned out in about a month. They just get too darn hot in those small fog enclosures. The bulbs actually smoked up and fogged inside. You can't see the inside of the bulbs. Keep it stock, or run some Philips bluevisions or something else in stock wattage.
On the other hand, overwattage bulbs and a harness work great for the headlights.
