z32/j30 maf?

I went to the junkyard today to get me a z32 maf they said that the j30/z32 N/A and the tt was the same. Is that true? They did not have one from a tt so i got one from a J30. But the plug is not the same it has only three wires. AS my 3rd gen has 5 like some z32 maf but this one has only 3 wires. will it work? And if so how do I wire it up with only three wires?

The 3rd gen max plug should be the same as the Z32/J30 but the wire layout is probably different.

ok but the j/30 only has three wires as the 300zx has 5 like my max. The color on the wires for the j/30 are orange white and black with a white line.

The older j30 MAFs work, but the one with the 3 pins will not work. The other one u have will work, the plugs are the same as the 3rd gen, wiring is identical too. It's just plug and play basically. The part # on the right MAF is 22680-30P00.
