Painting my all clear tail lights red... help!
Grrrrrrrr. I got my all clear tail lights like 3 weeks ago and i still havent even painted them! This ****es me off, i want them on!!
I heat the damn things up with a blow dryer for a god 5 minutes and it doesnt move an inch. What am I doing wrong?? Painting the outside would just look dumb, right? i really should open them up somehow and paint them?
HOw long do you all have to heat them for???
Thanks

To tell you the truth, I personally do not think that a hair dryer is adequete to break the silicone seal of the taillights. I think you will need a heat gun to take the taillights apart. Or just spray the outside of them with taillight spray tint that you can purchase at many import shops or use stained glass tint, which i used.
I wonder if the aftermarket all clear ones are built the same way as stock ones... maybe they don't come apart. anyway... I used a hair dryer to do my clear tails and it takes a while (5 mins, no less) to get started on an area and they are VERY easy to break so just keep heating and don't pull unless it wants to move with minimal force.. then hear some more... even when you are almost done you will want to just pull it apart and that is when they break... so take it easy and try again!
