My gut feel is that Infiniti is gonna be mildly successful with tne new Q. As I've begun to see more LS430s on the road, I have a hunch the 430 will appeal to previous LS owners, but not first timers on the premium sedans. The 430s looks are very reminiscent of the previous gen S class. It's not too "hip" looking. The new S was a bit radical when it came out but it seems stylish now. I think the Q went in that direction too. Personally I wish the grille weren't so large because it does have that "Caddy" look in the front, but otherwise it may be a winner. What do you folks think?

Ok I have to get off this board now...planning on kicking-back today and watching some NBA, was a late late night yesterday......hehe

problem with the Q is that unlike words like "Escalade" and "benz" it just does not sound good in rap so it won't get used in songs and won't get all that free advertising that rappers love to give.

To bad most the people who listen to rap can't afford a new Infiniti anyways. But maybe the rap songs whould add to resale value?

I don't know

The Q never caught on for some reason. A great car but a litte off on the styling. The new Q is very nice but does not get me like the ls430 or the S classor the 7 series BMW. That LS430 is a nice car.

I do believe that the Q will out perform all the competition. I can't wait to drive one.

don't you remember what biggy said on puffy's cd,
"driven 30 in j30's gettin bent"
that was an infiniti,
not to mention,
"I like to max in maximas.."

I drove one and the car is amazing, you feel as if the car was as slow as a old tempo but when you look at the speedo it is going crazy, when I had my y-pipe on though i think I could take one off the line, unfortunatly had to take it off because of a glitch

You took the words right out of my mouth.

emax, where do you get some sh*t like that. Are you implying that most people who listen to rap are poor, and can't drive a luxury car??? And who in your world can???

My personal opinion is that the q45 won't do real good it's first year because of what happened in the last gen...the q up to 96 or 97 was beautiful and fast...the newer q up til now, looks like an old persons car and got a lot slower...the 2002 is beautiful, fast, and full of technology. Give it 2 years max.

There is also:

"...4 5 infiniti, livin large,..like your last name is candy, or escobar" something like that, on the Nelly CD. Not sure which song. Its the don't really wanna go, I'm going to take you any way song.

I knew that, and have a new Infiniti So I guess I'm one of few.

I understand what emax was trying to say though. The market this car is target for, is not exactly the same as most of those that are into RAP music, however, of course their is an excption to every rule, as you see here
