Just as the title reads, I was wondering how much speaker wire you nukkas wound up using for your install. Comps up front, coaxes in rear. I will be using Karma Kable (12AWG) from KnuKonceptz.

12' for each rear door, 18' for each front door. Each was run from the amp( in the middle of the trunk) to the rear corner-along the side(to the front corner)-the along thier respective sides-the into the doors. Maybe some over kill as far as routing, I think it was worth it.

i beleive i went with 85 or so foot for my 2k max.... both front speakers, both tweeters, and rears..a little bit extra, 75 should hit it on the money but better safe than sorry... i even went off and did each speaker pair its own color so the idiot in me couldnt screw it up later....

12 guage? How much power you plan on running through that wire?

I think I used up most of the 80 feet I purchased.

We are not getting into this one again. I'd sooner over compensate than undercompensate any day of the year.

Any reason you used a smaller gauge for the tweets? I know the Rainbows I have already have a tiny-azz wire soldered onto the tweet connections...so I guess I have to go smaller on those?

I used some good Stinger scrap wire Don had laying around. Also tweets are seeing ~70rms, wheres mids have a 300 x2 amp on them. 12ga on any tweets may be overkill as far as cost is concerned, but IO cannot see it being a problem. Now if you stick to 16ga its much easier to connect via barrel connectors or male/female quick disconnect connects(what i used)

Awesome, thanks! I am going to be soldering all of my connections to the speaker leads since I seem to be soldering all sorts of LEDs these days...

Thats about as much as I used. Ran 2 wires to the front on each side for each speaker and one through the rear door on each side.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions! I wound up purchasing 75ft. of this:

14 GA. Silver Plated Kasa Kable. Probably over hyped and over priced, but I'd sooner not take my chances. It was going at $1.99 per foot, but the prices were recently dropped to $1.19/foot, so what the heck. I would have preferred the other stuff, but they are sold out until late August, but I will be doing the install by then.

Instead of starting a new thread, how much wire will I need if I mount the amp in the trunk or under the rear seat? Someone told me 30ft in another thread but everyone is saying around 75ft in this one.

30ft? nope....you need that much for the comps themselves, if not more....if you are going into the doors with it, plus you always want some slack.

kinda OFF topic but wouldn't it be easier to mount AMP for speakers under front passenger seat instead of mounting it in the trunk

LOL Metal Max since you have plenty of space for few AMPs you won't mount them under the seat but being an optimist i'd mount AMP for speakers under the seat hell that's a lot of wiring going to the trunk and back.
