Hey all my max went through a flash flooded street and ingested H2O. The repair shop said they could fix but the car still isn't running right so the insurance company wants to total the car as a rejected repair or sum such verbage. They said that I would get a call next week on the fair market value of the car. Has anyone gone through a similar situation? I am trying to guesstimate the Fair marke value for my 91se w/leather and moon roof. Any ideas?
FYI- I have an aftermarket stereo and rims

 

Edmunds.com provides a True Market Value (TMV) figure for used cars.

 

Thanks, just going off the numbers they have listed and averageing them out it looks to be about $1700.

 

Now is the part where you say you invested over 1000 in parts when you got it because some old lady never took care of it.

 

Well I did put in my own stereo including amp and sub, warpspeed y, unorthodox udp, lightweight flywheel, aftermarket rims and about a year ago new tires.

 

UPDATE
Farmers priced the car out at $2970. Before tax deduction and $85 for the stereo I wanted back.
