Hello!

I'm thinking about upgrading the look of my muffler, but I don't know what to do. First of all I would like to know how restrictive our muffler is? how much HP will I gain if I change it, two or three HP? on the other hand I want to keep my car stock quiet, so what I was thinking was that if the HP gain was that low I might just get tip and weld it on to my muffler, what do you guys think? what kind of tip would you recomend?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

My opinion

Y-Pipe, Hi-Flow Cat, 2 1/4in. B-Pipe, Stock Muffler with an aftermarket tip.

I have been thinking about getting a y-pipe, and just a tip on my muffler, does any one know if the y-pipe will make my car much louder? what kind of tip would look gos on a Max?

Thanks for the opinion!!

Well, I got a WSP y pipe when my car was completely stock. It sounds like sh*t. Luckly I got a JWT pop charger and that muted out some of the y pipe hissing. It sounds like an old pick up truck. BTW, does anyone know how much a Dynomax turbo muffler is and the best place to order mufflers from? Thanks

from my understanding you can do all of the other exhaust mods and keep your stock muffler to stay stock quiet and be a real sleeper on performance mods....

Metallic: That is basically what I want to get out of my car, I want to keep it stock quiet, but I also want to be able to get some performance from the exhaust.

bmxsteve: Did it sound that bad? was it because it was a WSP, would any other y-pipe sound as bad? Did the pop charger help your performance, or did the car feel the same but louder?

Thanks!
