5th gen intake manifold on 4th gen

Some guy at the junkyard said he might have a intake manifold of a 2000
max and that he'll sell it for $100. Is this a good deal or should I try to get
him to lower the price a bit?

If I do buy it, is there any other parts that
have to go along with the manifold?

He was also trying to sell me a set of 2001 rims (16") for $275.

I said,

$100 for the 2000 IM is a good deal. You should also get the throttle body, rear valve cover, rear ignition coils and the egr guide tube off that car, if you can. Do some research in the all motor forum. There are several threads that talk about installing the 2000 IM (referred to as the 00VI). It is by no means a direct installation like the MEVI is.

yeah, I read that it's not just a bolt on and that it is a bit more difficult to install, but since I'm a big doofus I just get a mechanic to do it.

Thanks a lot man I really want that 00V1.
How much do you think a mechanic would charge to install it, $300-$500?

I should hope not, the install isnt that hard you read up in the all motor section, or if anything see about another org member helping you install it, that would be far cheaper than any shop.

If you took a 00VI to a mechanic and told them to put it on your 4th gen, they'd look at you like you had two heads. Someone on this board would have to do it. Read up in All Motor and you'll figure it out. Nismo3112 and I did the installation in my 96 Cali spec in five hours.

Nope, but reading to try and do it this comming december. So far I dont know that much at all on installing it, but with some reading that will change.

from what I've read the hardest part is dealing with all the vacuum lines.
