changed brake rotors / pads .. now vibrations
Hi guys,
I changed my brake pads and rotors last weekend. At about 70-80mph, i start noticing a vibration.
I didn't have this before so I really can't say it's unbalanced tires.
Any suggestions? I made sure the wheels were torqued to 80lb.
I've also noticed the e-brake, when pulling it up, is a bit loose or doesn't require as much force as it used to before.

I replaced all the pads and rotors.
I used OEM pads with brembo slotted rotors.
I didn't clean / regrease the pins actually, they were moving pretty freely. You think that could be an issue?

1. Perhaps you didn't seat the pads fully against the rotors, they might be binding in the pad retaining clips.
2. The caliper's might also be sticking slightly (since you didn't clean/regrease the pins) - and it might be more noticable because of the thicker pads.
3. You might have just gotten a rotor that has bad runout right out of the box. Thats why I asked which brand - this is more common with the cheaper ones. This is unlikely since you used Brembo's - but possible.
I know its annoying, but you could swap in your old rotors (if you still have them) and see what happens.
Cheers.

Also possible is if you made any quick "panic stops" with the new brakes before the pads and rotors had a chance to bed.
