whats up guys, i need some help. lately, whenever i drive anywhere over about 30mph, i get this horrible, loud squeaking/squealing coming from the front right corner of my car. at first, i thought it sounded like a vent/fan problem. but i screwed around with that (turning it on, off, adjusting the speed, temp, vents) and that had no effect on the problem.

so now i'm thinking it's a suspension problem. i have tokico hp blues, tein h-techs, progress rsb, and front/rear stb's. anybody have any ideas????

 

Sounds like your engine is toast.

 

Front right corner, Alternator maybe. With lights and radio on mine used to squeal a little replaced alt and was fine.

 

could also be a bad bearing or the dust shield behind the rotor rubbing on the rotor - both of these problems are common on maximas...

 

thanks for the ideas guys. are those things i can check myself or do i need to bring my car into a shop?

 

Go to Auto Zone I think they can check the alternator charge. As for irish's suggestions maybe he can help you, he is a very smart dude.

 

if it's an alternator issue, how serious is it? i won't be home in NH till Oct to go to my local shops. is it worth getting checked out here at school?
