Battery or Alternator? help..pls

Battery or Alternator? help..pls

my car's battery light turned on.. stayed on for a good 10-20 minutes and then the car just died out on me and i could not start it again.. the car is manual transmission so i push started it and it worked again.. the air bag light and abs turned on and the car died again.. now when i try to start it the engine doesnt even turn.. but i hear clicking... what could this be? alternator? battery??

help would be greatly appreciated.. thank you

Sounds like a dead alternator to me. Did you try jump-start the car? If you can get the car running, go to sears/autozone, etc. they will test the battery/alternator for free.

^^ to the advanced auto/autozone and have them test it. They test either for FREE!

Seeing as you were able to restart it, there is a good chance its the alternator.

When the alternator dies, the car squeezes every ounce of battery's power making it die also. Go have it checked out at autozone and they'll tell u for sure.

My money's on the alternator. Two hours to replace and $160 after core at Autozone. Also get a lifetime warranty on it.
