Here's a video of me vs. mevi/jwt ecu equipped Max

http://www.v6atlanta.com/bijan/iwalkbruce.wmv

This video is SOLEY to show how the ECU and MEVI are not giving some Maximas enough power. I have no idea what the problem is, but see for yourself.

Damn, you were pulling like crazy. You sure that everything on the other car was tuned properly. i.e. knock sensor. Real Interesting.

yes that what he was saying but the max with the camera has xtra 100 plus pounds so you cant really say the mevi is no good, now if the were alone just the driver thenit would draw a better conclusion

Weight can easily make a difference.

Car is probably not tuned right either.

Was this video made with Bruce's MEVI being messed up like he just posted about in the all motor forum or was it working there. Also what does the passenger weigh and what wheels does bruce have?

The amount bijan pulled is probably equal to about 1mph through the traps, it was very very slight, maybe 1.5mph. More info is needed to make an accurate determination as to whether or not something is "wrong" with bruce's car or if its just the weight difference causing this.

I raced my friend Frank, we both had automatic 96 nissan maxima. He had a y-pipe and mevi, and stillen popcharger. My car just had a popcharger. He pulled on my at first but around 60 mph, I pulled on his *** hard untill 110 mph. I beat him like 7-10 car lenghts. His Mevi wasnt working properly, so maybe the guys mevi in the video isnt working properly either.

Here's my take;

1998 gxe 5pd
-yall know the mods - I was the only person in my car

VS.

1997 SE 5spd (FILM CAR)
-yall know the mods
-16" 240sx wheels - 2 avg. size guys - both 6' or so...under 200lbs I think. But on a highway roll like that, that weight wouldnt be a significant factor.

He went to the dyno, and I watched the MEVI flap/rod thingy open, I even held it wide open myself after 5k rpm. He didnt make more than 190whp 200wtq -but close.

Obviously, the MEVI wasnt opening at all, or completely.....or it could be other things. KS could be a factor, or it could be a severe vaccum issue. Who knows......

IMO he should have all the wiring re-run, and maybe a new RPM switch. I still dont know why JWT makes the re-map if it doesnt improve it by a great amount. Kinda stupid IMO.

His dyno chart is posted in the all motor forum. The weight is a definate factor still, though not as much as from a stop. But that sort of weight difference would be about enough to turn 2 cars which are exactly the same speed into a race that looks like that I'd say. I could run some cartest sims to know exactly what it'd do. Maybe I will do that later but I'm too tired right now.

That JWT ECU works well. It was mine, I sold it to him. 13.4 @ 102 boyeeeee.

His dyno was posted, and he is down 15-20whp, the mevi was not opening in those videos, you can hear it if you listen. If his car was operating correctly, he would murder you on the interstate. When my car was an auto (with JWT/MEVI), I could kill a 5spd max with I/Y/E on the interstate.

that's not fair bijan his car is messed up as you know from the dynos. You need to race a 200whp max with MEVI/JWT ecu combo.
