Told ya the check valve was the problem Like 80% of the people who bought that napa canister had the checkvalve eventually fail on it.

Please stop typing in caps

the 00VI is the upper intake manifold off the 2000-2001 Maximas

Also theres a sticky in the all motor forum with everything you need to know about it, no need to ***** up this mans thread..

Definately. The biggest problem is that I live about 40 miles away from the majority of the ATL people. (including Bijan) That's why when I do go down there I try to get alot done.

The dyno graph that was posted is with the MEVI being manually opened and it is still about 20 whp and 15 wtq lower than what it should be.

96Sleeper told me that he thinks it is a timing issue because the curve itself looks normal just not high enough.

Maybe a KS issue? But not an issue itself. I would think a KS issue would have your numbers even lower though, and I thought the power on a KR dyno was all over the place, jagged.

What were your before mevi/jwt and after mevi/jwt numbers again? FWIW the highest I ever dynod with JWT and MEVI was only 184whp and 174tq.

Well I don't pull a code for it either so I guess I'll check that off.

I dynoed 179 WHP and 190.5 WTQ on my previous motor. (also before JWT and MEVI)

I thought you dynoed 184whp and 174tq with the MEVI but not the JWT ecu?

Maybe I should start another thread asking everyone with JWT ECU and MEVI to post their #'s.

I will search for the post. I am pretty sure those were my numbers after ECU but maybe my memory is incorrect. I have no idea where the dyno sheet is this was what like 2 years ago.

Found em. I had basically the exact same dyno numbers before and after adding JWT ECU like I remembered. But of course my best trap went from 98.4 with no ECU to 102.34 with the ECU.

185whp 175tq with MEVI/ECU

183whp 173tq with just MEVI.

But my track times improved a huge amount.

Neal, How in the hell did I gain 6 whp and 11 wtq from the exact same ecu then! this is really weird.

Do you think I might be blowing this whole loss of power thing out of proportion?

Yes I think you are blowing it way out of proportion... dynos don't really mean **** as you can see. My dyno is low and yet I was the fastest 3.0 4th gen and still am 2 years later... Thats kindof what I've been trying to say.

Fastest in what? The 1/4?

Youre claiming fastest from 2k3 till now....boosted right?

I'm saying my N/A 3.0 was the fastest in the 1/4 mile despite my dyno numbers being lower than most everyone else who had the same mods. And actually still is for that matter. Actually 96sleeper eventually trapped .4mph higher than my highest trap but the point remains that dyno numbers mean approximately squat so Bruce shouldn't worry himself over them. Worry about how the car performs when everything's working. Actually it's been more like 3 years that I've had the quickest N/A 3.0, but my MEVI/JWT times are about 2 years old.

I'm gonna stop tripping over this, I mean the Manifold opens everytime now and the car feels alot better.
Hopefully tomorrow I'm putting a rebuilt transmission in then it will definately run alot smoother.
There will be a rematch soon.
