DR Mod - SES light?

Question to those with the VB mod. Does your SES light come up? I'm thinking of doing a throttle switch.

I unplugged it to take a test drive & liked it but I only want to use it at WOT (that's why i'm doing the switch), but the SES light came on. Is that because I unplugged it, or will it come up even after I do the switch?

Thanks.
- Jay

Sorry boys - Yes, the DR mod. I've been reading too much on both subjects & got them mixed up.

So it should go off after a while right?

when I unplugged mine the O/D light was flashing meaning something aint right...I only had it unplugged for a bout 45min of driving. I plugged it back in afterwards and kept it there. I'm not gonna leave it unplugged for the sake of harder shifts if it's gonna kill my tranny. I'm still on my original tranny and i plan to keep it that way.

DO NOT run your tranny at full pressure all the time.

you need the VB mod and the cooler to run the DR mod without trouble. Can't have one without the other

So are you saying that the dr mod and the vb mod running in conjunction with a tranny cooler will stop the cel from popping up?

valve-body mod does NOT equal drop resistor mod.
VB mod is beneficial for your transmission's life. DR mod is harmful if used all the time.
if you've had your VB modified, why the hell would you want to mess with the DR mod?

edit: addressing the original point of the thread:
yes. if you do the drop resistor mod, your CEL will light up.
