One of my Eurolite H3s blew 2 weeks after I installed it, now my new Nokya bulb blew 2 days after it was installed.
Does anyone know what could be the problem?

Thanks.

Are you using higher wattage bulbs? If not, are you making sure to clean the bulbs with alcohol to rid the glass of any oils or dirt that could cause them to burn out quickly?

No, I'm using standard 55-watt bulbs.

Could just be coincidental that you got two bad bulbs.

Probably, I just put my stock bulbs back in, we'll see what happens.

same here...

One of my PIAA superwhites blew after ~6 months, put the stocks back in while I waited for my Hella Yellowstars... blew one of those after <2 months. Now I'm back to stock bulbs for good. I'm tired of blowing my money on s hitty products.

BTW, I never cleaned the bulbs, and never touched the glass... I was very careful about that. Oh and I ALWAYS used 55W H3's.

Feh.

Aftermarket H3's always blow. I use stock ones now too. It gets annoying after a while.

i think it is all chance on whether your bulbs burn out or not. i ran piaa superwhites 55w for about a year, then one of them burned out. i put in the old stock one in to replace it and it burned out in about a week. i put the other stock on in and it has been good for about 5 months now. the other piaa is still going good (maybe 1.5 years?). of course, now that i've said it, it'll burn out tonight on my way home.

funny thing, i have been too lazy to go out and buy another superwhite h3, so i must look dorky to have all superwhites in the front except for that one yellow bulb in the passenger fog.

Thanks for all the responses guys. Well, at least you've had your bulbs for several months where my brand new Nokya H3s which I just bought from Alex (southwestautoworks.com) blew 2 days after.

They should be availible at autoparts stores, but if you want BlueVisions or WeatherVisions, then this place has them:

Yep, the aftermaket H3's suck big time. They do look good when they're on but they don't last. After mine blew, I put back my stock ones. These are the same ones that have been in my car for 5 years. They still work great.
